It's a sign of the times that local, independent record stores regularly fall foul to the digital download age we live in and it's even more disappointing when it's a store we've used on a regular basis over the last few years.
Tragically, the excellent Fat Dog records was one of those shops. It may not be as well known as Picadilly or Phonica, but it's stock and customer service was always on point.
This week's mix comes from the Fat Dog himself, mixing up the kind of soul, disco, house, hip-hop and detroit techno only a real musical knowledge can produce.
I guess with every cloud there's a silver lining and in this case, at least not having to run a record shop leaves extra time to produce mixes like this.
