It is very likely that 2011 will belong solely to James Blake. James has so far released two EPs on R&S, each comprising of intelligent remixes and beautiful compositions. It's genre defying music which can only be described as, well, simply great music.
It is very likely that 2011 will belong solely to James Blake. James has so far released two EPs on R&S, each comprising of intelligent remixes and beautiful compositions. It's genre defying music which can only be described as, well, simply great music.
James's remixing abilities have been much in demand throughout 2010, his reinterpretations for Untold and Mount Kimbie being of particular note. Most recently, his cover version of Feist's gorgeous 'Limit to your love' has seen him not only flex his undeniable vocal talents, but also be added to BBC Radio 1's daytime playlist. All this and an album ready to drop, without doubt James is about to go stratospheric.
This show may not be a Live performance, but won't be your standard DJ affair either. His much in-demand DJ sets have been killing dancefloors all over London and the UK and we feel we've pulled off a bit of a coup to scoop him for such a small and intimate venue as Shopkeepers
As if that's not enough, there's also support from one of the UK's finest current beat-makers, Eliphino who's recent track on Gilles Peterson's Brownswood records has been receiving props and airplay from every discernible DJ out there, from Alexander Nut (Rinse FM), Benji B (Radio 1), Zane Lowe (Radio 1) and Mary Anne Hobbs (Radio 1) as well as Gilles Peterson himself. He's a new E.P. on the way as well and we're predicting a bright future.
Residents Horace and Tom will also be there to help you dance the night away.
Tickets have already been selling for this although it wasn't officially announced til last week, I think there's some build up happening for this show and word of mouth is now out, so get them while you can,
